What the heck? Are they trying to scare off squatters? “Mature landscaping, and armed officer of the law included.”

Also, ugh, it’s bad enough when people don’t put the lid/seat down but when there is a stain decorating the interior of the seat and the toilet was last cleaned back when that Sheriff had a thirty two inch waist? Come on, put the darned thing down.

Clearly, they took their fiber consumption seriously. Blech.

Also adding: Hey, that’s me up there with the comments on the bathroom, and presence of the long arm of the law.

What makes it really a pity is that it is otherwise a decent, clean and well priced home. You know, one with a chance of selling. Put. The. Seat.Down and retake the photo. Two seconds worth of time to improve the shot/not gross out prospective buyers. On a 200+ home that’s what? Close to 14k for the selling agent? Take the two seconds, for the love of Pete.

The cop must be there to give a stern warning to whomever painted that green room. Really, that is NOT a good color.

“I wanna report a crime. Larry puked in the aquarium.”

Probably because of some of those paint colors. Ugh.

Stove: ok guys, just act normal. nothing suspicious going on here.

Microwave: Do you think they’ll find the five lb. blunt the seller hid inside me? ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh…..

Something tells me we should respect this officer’s authoritah.

Of all the many things I’ve laughed at on this blog, this may be one of the funniest. Honestly, did they NOT see the cop outside the window?? Or was that considered a plus, somehow?? And agian, what’s with the effing toilet lid AND SEAT??? Ugh!! This is particularly gross- why do you (Mr/Ms Realtor) want to show it off? Were you so distracted by the frighteningly green walls, that you were temporarily blinded to the yuckiness AND to the police officer? Oy.

    “Bad Boys
    Bad Boys
    Whatcha gonna do?
    Whatcha gonna do
    With your splashbacked poo?”

Why, I do believe I’m going to make it a feature in one of the photos of the bathroom in my property listing.

  12. Meg says:

Is it just me or does the for sale sign look like it was photoshopped in on that first picture?

  13. Jen says:

“Ma’am, your neighbors called in a complaint about the noise. Your walls are too loud.”

    1. I’m going to guess foreclosure or some other legal issue is the reason for the sheriff.

    2. I realized that if the owners weren’t present, if it were me, I would have one serious problem with improving that bathroom picture: in order to put the seat down, I’d have to touch it. Ew. I guess if I sold a lot of empty houses, maybe I’d carry rubber gloves or something.

    3. I actually like the bright colors, except the super bright green at the front entryway. Even that I like, but it would have to be on a smaller area as an accent. And it looks wrong around the traditional stairway with the dark wood and white posts. But I am probably weird.

  15. Tess says:

That radioactive/nuclear green paint is the crime.

  16. The Mef Thing says:

I too like those colors. Really.
I feel right at home. At a point in my life, my livingroom was actually an even brighter green.

  17. Amanda B. says:

Also, if they aren’t providing detailed information about the listing, they should at least include one photograph showing a heating vent/radiator (presuming they exist). Believe it or not, it *can* get cold in Georgia in the winter. Having accidentally rented a non-heated apartment when I lived to the ATL, I speak from experience.

All this to say that I’m betting the house doesn’t have a heating system, which makes its “reasonable price” way less reasonable.

“Nope, no problems with crime in this neighborhood….we’ve never had a lick of trouble.”

  19. pepsibookcat says:

Oh! Oh! Oh! I’m having SUCH a Grosse Pointe Blank moment on this one!

The scene where Martin goes with his buddy to show a house and their high school classmate shows up as an overzealous rent-a-cop!

  20. THE RESISTANCE says:

    DAMN IT!

    THEY FOUND THE SAFE HOUSE!

    INITIATE ” THE COLE PROTOCAL”

    LOCK N LOAD!

SET UP DEFENSIVE POSITION…& SET THOSE CHARGES!
