Do you think the realtor even thought about asking them to take it down, just for the photo shoot? I’d fire a realtor that let me make that mistake, (if I had a clue). And Coldwell Banker left the photo up?? Just remove that particular photo, they have lots of others!!

What stuns me here is not even that there's people put this stuff on their walls.... But a Liscenced realtor didnt think anything wrong with posting the pic on their site?

Can anyone say career suicide? LOL
(Unless of course your target market just happens to be that sorta clientele)

I am certainly not taking up for the picture, which I find disturbing and pretty much without artistic merit, however… I do notice that the swastica is superimposed over the Norwegian flag. I’m thinking maybe sympatico high school art student who read about the Norwegian occupation during WW2 in history class and felt moved to create by his angst-y 17 year old muse. That sort of fits with the otherwise ultra traditional suburbia decor and landscaping. Think of it as one step up from ‘proud parent fridge art’ ^^ Annie in Norway

Worst of both worlds, a Nazi who went back to school, and is looking for an ‘acceptable’ way to display these things, hmm, maybe that would mean the art student wouldn’t be smelly? After all, who would be willing to get close enough to a smelly Nazi and actually listen to what they have to say?

All the art students I've ever known live in crappy apartments or with their parents. That's the main living room of a big house with an enormous flat screen TV.

Plus, if you're making a statement _against_ Nazism, you're not going to have a fully intact swastika on a bold background like that up on your wall. You're going to have it bludgeoned and bloodied and trammeled or some such.

Those people are Nazis, idiots, or, more likely, both.

I do not care who you are. Growing up in the south (while simultaneously educating myself to the implications of “being from the south”, I have found that there are, as you say, two possible explanations for the display of a swastika. One, You are a helpless mouth-breathing sheep who will follow whatever his older brother or his cell mate does. TWO. As you propose, you are an art student. I don’t know any art student with a modicum of taste or sincerity that would think that the display of a swastika would enhance their art beyond mere shock value. As such, there is no excuse for displaying a swastika in any setting. Any questions?
