  1. Hi! I'm Erin says:

When we sold our house, our realtor’s photographer Photoshopped out the burn pit in our backyard. He did a really good job, but I worried that people would show up to see the house and be confused about when the circle of dirt surrounded by chairs showed up.

How about a test on these sites letting us know the thing is violently LOUD when clicked on? Hmmmmmmm??

  6. Galadriel says:

At first glance I thought it was a cemetery.

  7. Anonymous says:

It’s an entire Stonehenge built out of 18″ high stones.

  8. burhanistan says:

Clearly this is some kind of sacrificial altar and Chair is there presiding over the ritual.

  9. Alissa says:

Well, Galadriel, it is something of a tree cemetery. There is something very spooky about it.

  10. Stuart says:

Ah, Stumphenge … where the tiny druids gather in pagan glory. Each chair seats six. Reservations recommended. Stumphenge is a non-smoking venue.

  11. Firefly says:

The house is in Sherwood Forest… the tree stumps are where Robin Hood and his mighty men used to meet and drink.

    My oh my, it’s Stump-Henge!

  13. Chazya says:

i thought it was a cemetery too!

The design for Stumphenge mistakenly specified 18″ tall and not 18′ tall as the owners envisioned it.

  17. bikergeek says:

Suburbia: where they cut the trees down and name the streets after them.

  18. Anonymous says:

Many years ago there was a commercial with the statement: ‘I hate trees. They mess up your yard and steal your food.’ Obviously these people were the origin.

  19. Scott says:

Why buy more expensive plastic lawn furniture when you can chop down trees and let people sit on stumps instead?

  20. Anonymous says:

Not stumps. Tree segments. For sitting around the “campfire” Boy Scout-style.

  21. Richard says:

    ….and it’s STILL SHADY!!

  22. Graygrrrl says:

Oh my god! I thought Chair was trapped in a grave yard at first glance! Thank god he was only in a faery ring
