For your Family Night activity

C’mon, kids! It’s time for a round of The Goose Game. Mary, you’re in charge of can of paint — try not to get any on the TV this time, sweetie. Jake, the metal scoop is yours. I’ll take the small stool; hun, do you want the large one? And baby gets the pole, as usual. First one to get the goose to the big X wins a point. Go!

  1. Tony Paul says:

    Seriously, I LOVE YOUR HUMOUR !!! :-)

I’m amazed at how you can keep coming up with new comments that are always so hilarious.
I’d love to see a movie based on the comments here, it would be wonderful, really. Probably a bit weird too, but wonderful, somewhere between good TV sitcom humour and experimental art-film. ;-)

I find the goose is actually supervising something here, unless it’s the faucet for the beer.

  2. Nickname unavailable says:

    Brilliant.

  3. Tom Geller says:

    Oh, brava!!!

    Well played, good sir knight.

  4. mudslicker says:

YIKES!!!! Forget the goose…I got my eye on Woodsy Owl on the mantle. He looks like he’s in bungee jumpin’ mode!

  5. Stuart says:

That looks way funner than the “Goose Game” that old Uncle Phil used to like to play.

    No, not like that.

And these kids have better game pieces than we had. Seriously – a shoe? A thimble? Fights used to break out over who got the race car.

    Good times, good times …

  6. Linnee says:

OMG! Your narrative is always funnier than the photo, but this time, you’ve outdone your bad self.

  7. ptooie says:

I’m with mudslicker. That thing over the mantle is terrifying! At least the goose doesn’t look like he’s gonna attack…

  8. slh35661 says:

And if you look closely there are two ducks getting the heck outta Dodge and flying away from that game.

  9. Glory von Hathor says:

    Every home should have one.

Looking closer at the listing, every home ought also to have a pair of red-frilled bloomers functioning as a curtain on their kitchen door.

  10. Anonymous says:

My sister used to be into geese, but she never would have had one that stinking huge.

And, after looking at some of the other photos, why on earth is there a buffet in the corner of the living room? Don’t they know it belongs in the dining room?

  11. HotHeaded says:

That goose on the counter made me go into fits of giggles.
Now I need a giant goose to watch over me and my family! LOL

  12. Anonymous says:

That is hysterical YOU are hysterical. I can’t stop giggling. Baby gets the pole as usual…LOVE ITTT

  13. sherri says:

    you madam, are hilarious.

  14. Suka says:

See Sara, I thought you and I were alike. I thought we shared the same values. I laughed really hard until you made the error that cost our friendship – Baby NEVER gets the pole on Goose Night. He’s the squeegee master. Shame on you.

  15. Anonymous says:

ok. lauging so hard tears in my eyes. its kind of like people who attended a “Lets Make A Deal” tapings discarded in this kitchen all the ramdom stuff they had brought to the taping hoping to win $50 from Monty: “Ok,so I will give any lovely lady here 5 $10 Bills if she can produce a live goose…”

  16. Karen says:

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but that is a swan, not a goose!

    Funny post all the same:)
