WHAT THE *&%#*( IS THAT? lol
Ah, that is a Madagascar Gam Bush (Ravenala leggus). They are illegal to import without a permit so I hope this person is a responsible owner. The last thing the delicate Boston native plant ecosystem needs is an invasive leg growing bush.
This is possibly the strangest thing I've seen on this blog, and that's saying a lot.
It looks to me like someone is making a "A Christmas Story"-style lamp.
I like how, even though it looks rather random, the shoe seems neatly tied.
And also WTF?
Note to all potential gangsters out there: The garbage disposal is NOT an effective way to dispose of certain "evidence".
It's almost like a visual puzzle or something. I spent more time than I should have staring at this to try and figure out just what I was looking at.
The laast time I was even remotely close to that position, I got pregnant.
*blush*
Anonymous #1, you took the words right out my mouth…
Ah. I see they are going for a post-modern effect. The manniquin represents the fragmentary state of our economy, and the tied shoe represents our efforts to put a bold face on the tragedy of our prosperous poverty. The ragged jean shorts represent the moral decay that has torn at our country, bringing us to the decrepid state.
…or it could just be a really lazy jackass wanting to post pics without cleaning. Take your pick.
This totally reminds me of the cast iron shoe forms my mom used to collect. She displayed them all in the front window so when you looked in from the outside you just saw a bunch of feet sticking up.
Yeah, weird family.
Through all the photos, I kept tilting my head farther and farther to the left although the books and window shade suggested otherwise. Made me kinda dizzy!
That. Is. So. Weird.
I'm pretty sure I cleaned that house as a grad student: Marin County, California for sure.
