Those smudges? They're the acidophilus.

Acting Funny And I Don't Know Why

I know how it is. You finally buy a home and you’re so excited to paint the walls — finally! your own color choice! — no more Sherman Willams Rental White!

…but I’m not certain that Dannon Blueberry Low-Fat is the best replacement, sweetie.

Loveliest comment, by tacomagic: Taken out of the wild, the lone China Cabinet tries to utilize it’s camoflage against the wall. Unfortunately for him, he has picked a poor spot to use his camoflage, and he can easily be observed. However, oblivious to his blunder, his natural behavior can be easily observed here.

As you can see, by remaining motionless for hour or even days, the China Cabinet slowly allows prey to become acclimatized to his presence before he eventually strikes. An ambush preditor of exceeding patience and cunning. In this setting however, his camoflage proves to be inadequate and his prey has already fled. There will be no meal for this cabinet today.

You should have that water damaged checked out…

  2. Just Me says:

The “found by” link is already broken.

The dining room “set” totally doesn’t fit in this room. Bar stools?Really? Round table? Really?

Why do I have a feeling that if we peeked under that tablecloth, there would be a nice power company cable spool hanging out?

Aah…Memories from my college days. I bet if the chandelier had a black light in it, the walls would look AWESOME!

  4. Looks like “Sherbert Williams” brand to me… At first I just thought it was a bad faux finish job – that’s kind of disturbing!

      LOL…

I particularly like the two chair cousins flanking on either side as if they’re the Swiss Guard (or hyenas in heat).

      Nacho highchair!

  6. Texchanchan says:

The whole thing looks like an artist’s conception (of what?)

Ohmigosh – my husband had an aunt that would have LOVED this! She loved anything purple and even had purple carpets and drapes in her house!

  8. Peachy says:

I think that’s supposed to look like marble….FAIL!

  9. dorph says:

Chair’s extended family has a dwarfism gene? How sad.

  10. KBeck says:

sadly, looking above the cabinet on the left, it appears the painting is of a purple flowering vine. Wonder if they ever realized what it would look like from across the room.

  11. Land of shimp says:

Sara, could you provide a link to an alternate listing for this address? Maybe through Trulia (which is huge, and has a server to match). That real estate listing’s server is just having a severe case of the vapors between the house o’ blue and the house o’ friendly bacteria.

It’s collapsed in a sobbing heap, and I can’t get a connection on either.

  12. kim says:

It looked to me like paintings of willow branches. Purple????

  13. bryn says:

I think there is a paper shortage in this area, and the walls are “papered” with intestines. You can see the rouching and everything. Bet it smells good in summer.

  14. Cheryl says:

OOOH, a seance room. The smudges on the wall are from the ectoplasm when the spirits come in through the wall.

The cabinet is perfect for the accomplice to hide in spirits to tap on.

    • Cheryl says:

Accomplice to hide in should have been crossed out but the code didn’t work

    • Jen says:

That’s the first thing I thought of, too. The seance room, or a great place for a gypsy fortune teller to hang out.

But is it just me, or does that hutch look like i twas PAINTED on the wall?
