Walla Walla, Wash., an’ Kalamazoo!

Nora’s freezin‘ on the trolley,
Swaller dollar cauliflower alley-garoo!
Merry Christmas to those of you who like to be wished a Merry Christmas! Yeah, the links should go to houses in the places mentioned, but… they don’t. So what? Have some more eggnog and relax.

Merry Christmas!
Oh, and for the record, I’d keep my Christmas decorations up year round if I could.
I do! There’s no shame in it. Oh wait. Maybe there is.
Merry Christmas back at you !!
I DO leave my pink poinsettias up all year in my bathroom
And, that white house is totally charming.
Don’t we know archaic barrel…
thank you, Pogo makes Christmas! Now I’m off to sing Deck us All with the family.
love the Pogo reference
Merry Christmas from a fellow Pogo fan.
[alternates]
Don’t we know archaic barrel
Lullaby Lilla Boy, Louisville Lou?
Trolley Molly don’t love Harold,
Boola boola Pensacoola hullabaloo!
Bark us all bow-wows of folly,
Polly wolly cracker ‘n’ too-da-loo!
Donkey Bonny brays a carol,
Antelope Cantaloupe, ‘lope with you
…I’m from Kalamazoo and this weird song had me blinking in confusion XD
Youji, look up Pogo Possum Christmas carols online. There are a few variations on the theme, each a classic. Pogo was a love I shared with my Grandma and my Dad. Fantastic comic strip!
I love you!
And I love Pogo! My grampa has a full set of Pogo books, and I loved leafing through them as a kid. We used to sing Deck us All and laugh. Thanks for bringing back happy memories!
How odd… I’m from Kalamazoo too, and have no idea why it got mentioned, unless it’s just because it’s a fun word to say???
Great to see some Walt Kelly poetry!
POGO! I go Pogo…
Hey now, I like the Tumbleweed houses (the last one, and Enesti) and I think they deserve what pictures they can get! They don’t have enough as it is in my opinion!
Besides, I have a cousin I used to call Uncle Crazy who kept his decorations up all year. They sent the best presents!
I love Pogo (and Albert Aligator and Miz Hepzibah et al)! Now I have to dig out my Mom’s old ‘Songs of the Pogo’.
Ah, HERE is the place that put the concept of ‘eggnog’ in my head. The eggnog that I still haven’t bought. The eggnog that I need for mixing with the Southern Comfort that is howling “Open me! Open me!” in the soup-and-liquor cabinet . . .
Since nobody will probably go back this far anyway (I’m catching up) and you all are singing funny Pogo lyrics to “Deck the Halls,” I just want to mention that you can also sing “O Little Town of Bethlehem” to the tune of the Gilligan’s Island theme.
Honest.
