I… I… what? This is even more “other” than yesterday’s post. Looking at the listing, we see this is a… a… well, it costs $305,000.00 and is being sold by someone named “Kenn.” Other than that, all is confusion.
It, whatever it is, might be in Utah, or it might not exist yet (but then what are the photos of?). It comes with a house, but can be shipped internationally. It “comes with a 5 bedroom 2 bath home with future basement kitchen/ apartment and a 2 car garage,” but “play house/gym can be sold separately.”
Look, I can’t figure it out. Will someone please just buy this, unwrap it, and let me know what’s in the box? Thanks.
Loveliest comment, by Lauren: I know, I know! It’s an Ewok village!! Maybe you pay extra for actual Ewoks running around?

THAT’s an insurance liability.
Looks like an alfresco cirque du soleil.
Just what I thought… they’re grooming their kids for Cirque du Soleil.
Someone is deeply committed to play. Although I question rigging the play house with electricity…
Dang, the Swiss Family Robinson got developed into a suburb.
Is anyone else imagining guys jumping off the ladder to make a basket?
The rainbow is a nice touch
But is it included in the sale price?
Definitely for circus folk. I think one of the pictures was taken from the trapeze!
I found it!
2937 Martinez Way, Riverton, UT 84065
Doesn’t look nearly as exciting from the aerial thou…..
I’m even more confused now; on zillow it says the house is for sale for 149,900. So these people are thinking that a treehut and firepole will increase the value of the house by 155,000?!!
The bright yellow safety gloves are a nice touch.
What I want to know is what the heck is the purpose of that wooden arch. The one that looks like a tuning fork made out of trees.
and the plastic wrap at the top of its a nice touch, too!
I know, I know! It’s an Ewok village!! Maybe you pay extra for actual Ewoks running around?
It had me looking for a pot of gold, that’s for sure.
Reminds me of the bamboo-top village of monks in _Grass_ by Sherri S. Tepper. They had all kinds of platforms and ladders and nets.
Speaking of nets, it looks like this installation could use a few.
I would have loved it as a kid!
Exactly! The Green Brothers would be pleased with this construction…
I would have thought it was the best thing ever when I was little. The doctors at A&E probably not so much as I’m wheeled in with my leg broken *again*
Also, it’s almost but not quite Tiki. Just add a few idols and some torches.
Yes, that’s generally what’s recommended in structures made primarily from wood: open flames, exposed to wind shifts.
Admittedly, they somehow have the place wired for electricity in all its exposed to the elements glory.
OMG I want it! I’m trying to talk my husband into building me a trapeze. And tight rope walking cable. And some swings JUST like that. I am lusting after this hard core.
Likewise. I loved playgrounds as a kid, but everything is in the wrong scale for an adult. This fixes that. Now if I just had the tireless energy I had 20 years ago….
Weirdly enough, when buying a structure for 300k I’d like it to provide some shelter.
You have to know the neighbors are hoping and praying for the out-of-town buyer who wants that sucker shipped to them, because good luck explaining that if you’re trying to sell your own home, and that’s next door.
“Oh, the Anderson’s are just …fanciful. Good, salt of the Earth…carnie folk, really. Big fans of Swiss Family Robinson.”
Looks like Kenn’s dream of becoming Peter Pan was quickly squelched by his wife- Everything must go!
The real ad says corp-owned, sold as is. Cirque? Or Ringling Bros.?
I think the tree is for bears to climb. It’s an animal act training set!
Jungle Gym???
For $305,000 that damn well ought to be a Jungle James!!!
But hey, at least you can pay that in CASH!
I recently had a nightmare that consisted of trying to navigate a structure very much like this one. I failed to understand it in my dream, and it seems the reality is even more confusing.
Is that a swing?
I never wanted to go on a swing more in my life.
