Things I’ve learned from this site: In the event that I need to put my home on the market, I’m going to invite a brutally honest friend over to point out the things I’m so used to, I no longer notice them.
These people really needed a brutally honest friend to say, “Oh, and by the way? The fly strips not only suggest the Amityville Horror, they’re just plain revolting even when they don’t suggest a demonic presence. Ditch them, they suggest “every surface of this house has come in contact with incidental excrement particularly of the canine and equine variety.” which is, unsurprisingly, not a selling feature.”
Seriously, the demons might be the better option.

Fly strips aside, the empty beer bottles by the sink are a nice touch.

Those are dish soap dispensers, not everyone can afford those fancy ones sold in stores. Especially when you have to regularly send money on fly strips and of course beer!
Think these folks are confused. You’re supposed to bake the cookies when you have an open house or people walking through the house. They do nothing when shown in real estate photos, though to be fair the flypaper and the beer bottles do sort of overshadow them.
