forward march

Where could all these Chairs be? So organized, so uniform, so appealing and yet rather intimidating…

say cheese

“Serried ranks of Chair’s Swiss relations, in Thun town square. Very neat and tidy, the Swiss,” says their spotter, Laura.

Loveliest comment, by Jano: You can bet that just as soon as the concert starts, chair in the middle of the row is going to get up because he forgot to get is Lindt chocolates before the show.

The Swiss aren’t always that neat and tidy. I’m working at CERN in Geneva right now, and I can say that Chair’s tinted cousins are quite rowdy in the CERN cafeteria. I’ll grab a photo next time I’m there.

Switzerland, like many European countries, has a rich tradition of marching societies. The drummers of Basel are very touchy about who measures up to standards, thus the chairs are practicing discreetly.

From the first photo I thought Chairs may be in a mass Sun Myung Moon wedding!

Clearly, these Chairs are waiting patiently for the Chairman to arrive and begin the Town Meeting.

They are waiting to listen to a con-chair-to.

Chair shows up in the most amazing places! I saw Chair in Olive Garden this week! He and some of his friends were basking in the sun in the foreground of a photo of a cathedral. It was a Chair photobomb!
