1984 Was a Good Year in the Medieval Trade

Sure, CA$800,000 seems reasonable for a five-bedroom castle in Edmonton (<- for grumpy_otter). But what the listing fails to mention is that the castle, as anyone who had Betty Crocker’s Boys and Girls Cookbook will recognize, is made from miniature marshmallows, green-tinted coconut, and a slab of chocolate for the front door. Which doesn’t sound too bad, come to think of it. Housing prices are going down, food prices are going up; maybe this is actually a better investment?

Loveliest comment, by Kylie: Oh, perfect. You don’t have to re-plaster the walls when they start cracking. You just need to apply more frosting. Best of all, when you want to downsize, just invite the family around for a meal and tell them to help themselves to a couple of bedrooms and a living room.

Not sure you’d want to locate this house in a high rainfall area though.
