Loveliest comment, by Anodean: Parents, be honest: How many times have you dreamed of moving away while your teenager was asleep? It’s universal, and probably would be good for them. If the buyer complains, tell them you’ve got no idea how it got in there, talk to the Realtor, the place was empty when you left.

Funny Real Estate - License To Sell

Included: washer, dryer, very tall brown-eyed 73-year-old man, dishwasher, oven. Yes, it’s a little odd he had his license in the listing, but look! What else is he going to do with it? There’s no fireplace to throw it on to.

(Modesty Chair‘s cousin, Privacy Chair, is doing this man a favor. The listing reveals all his details… just like this post reveals all my insanity.)

…that I didn’t have to sleep in the guest bedroom,

…and that I didn’t have to make Thanksgiving dinner in an operating room,

…that I haven’t yet had to call an emergency plumber (pictured above) on the cloggiest day of the year.

And most of all: I’m thankful for my lovely readers with their excellent comments and amazing finds. Thank you! Mwa! Extra pie all around!

(Note to furriners: today is Thanksgiving, when Americans eat a lot of pie. There’s more to the story, but once you grow out of the handprint turkey stage and into “needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defense” awareness it gets awkward.)
