Question: Is this cruel to the fish? On one hand, a fish probably has terrible fear of heights and doesn’t have any clue how to get back down. On the other hand, a fish has, like, a five-second memory, and might forget that life hasn’t always been exactly like this.
Oh lookee, I get to have both my vertigo and my fear of deep water flare up at the same time! Throw in an unidentifiable smell of smoke, an airport, and someone touching my knees, and you’ve got the full phobia set.
Sorry, but today is Wednesday and this building is Not For Sale. You can stay there, though.

Even though there’s a good chance that Lovely Listing’s readership base is a bit older and dorkier than yer average Cheezburger site’s, I know there’s not all that many people who will understand this… but good Lord, this is exactly what the world looks like the first day of each new pair of bifocals. Don’t worry, your feet will adjust to the stairs within a few days.
Look, I’m not a packrat with a drinking problem, okay? I’m just storing supplies for when I build my own Grandma Prisbrey-style house. For drinking in.

I first learned about it when Bottle Houses: The Creative World of Grandma Prisbrey caught my eye. It’s a book you can read to any small children in your life, who will then use it to justify bringing home bottle caps and broken pencils and wish rocks and broken tile pieces and glass shards other detritus you can later fish out of your washing machine’s lint trap.)

I was going to write a poem about how pelagically beautiful this is, but then the fish in the middle of the bookcase farted and distracted me.
